- The plastic cast film uses coextrusion medthod, which is the simultaneous extrusion of two or more materials from a single die to to create a multi-layered film. This is due to the fact that a performance is frequently required for the plastic film’s final application, which cannot be met if the film is made of a single substance.
- In contrast to the blown film method, the film using cast extrusion is extremely efficient. This enables faster production line speeds, leading in higher production rates with enhanced optical characteristics. The degree of draw and alignment in the cast film process is substantially lower than in the blown film process.
- The molten polymer is extruded via a flat die mechanism to form the final flat film shape in the cast film extrusion process. The die system is made up of the die and feedblock (if coextrusion is required) or just the die if mono-layer extrusion is used.
