- SMS fabric is a composite non woven fabric with three layers spunbond-meltblown-spunbon. The so-called one-step SMS can be produced using spunbond and meltblowing equipment on the same production line thanks to the on-line composite process. The first spunbond spinneret filament forms the first layer of fiber in the same manufacturing line, followed by a second spunbond spinneret generating a second layer of webs through the meltblown die, and finally a third spunbond spinneret forming a third layer of web. A hot rolling mill is then used to bond the three-layer web, and the winding machine is then used to create the SMS nonwoven fabric.
- When SMS content is produced, it has excellent water-repelling properties. This is the reason why producers opt to employ SMS material in items like face masks, sanitary napkins, baby diapers, and janitorial coveralls. Additionally, it is utilized for bedding, hats, and other medical items. SMS can be treated with anti-alcohol, anti-blood, anti-oil, anti-static, anti-bacterial, anti-aging, and other treatments to excel under a variety of applications.
