Description

Breathable films are generated by cast or blown film, followed by stretching. Calcium carbonate causes the creation of uniform cavities, which provide membrane characteristics. These films offer a low-cost alternative for moisture control in a variety of applications, including infant diaper back-sheets, feminine hygiene, adult incontinence, roofing, house wrap, and surgical gowns.
To gauge how much vapor can pass through a film, the water vapor transmission rate is measured. The molecules that make up polymer films are arranged in long, three-dimensional chains. This matrix’s permeability decreases as its density rises in a film. Our formulations’ acrylic polymers create a less thick matrix that permits vaporized water to permeate the film but not liquid water.
